Technical Director, Dr Rob Bell, Awarded UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship

Our Technical Director, Dr Rob Bell has been announced by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) as an awardee of round 4 of the “Future Leaders Fellowship”. The flagship scheme, open to UK registered companies, offers individuals within the business the opportunity to secure funding to tackle ambitious industry challenges and pursue world class research.

With an awarded grant of over £1m, this business-based fellowship will fund Rob and his Research Team to develop both our understanding and capabilities in microwave plasma, microwave assisted reduction of metal ores and microwave chemistry to help to steer the process industry towards an electric, sustainable low carbon future.

Dr Rob Bell says:

“The Fellowship is a significant opportunity to both develop new technologies and understand the challenges of implementing change in the process industry. The transition to a low carbon economy is underway and I want to ensure that C-Tech and its partners are able to meet the challenges that lie ahead”

Dr Rob Bell is one of 100 leading UK researchers to receive the award, only 11 of whom are in industry. We are proud that Rob has been selected along with some of the top research institutions in the world. The award will enable us and our collaborators to further develop our product portfolio and make a tangible step in transforming process industries to electrified, continuous processes.
