Total Process Innovation
We develop and validate new processes based on our core electrochemical and advanced thermal technology.
We carry out proof of concept, pilot and production equipment design, build and commissioning to your specification for integration into your operation.
One of the key challenges facing companies who are looking to evaluate new manufacturing or process routes, is how they evaluate the application and performance of new process technology at pilot and pre-production scale. Vendors of process equipment often have pilot plant available to trial a particular individual process, but the integration of several new pieces of pilot equipment from different vendors into a single process, can often feel overwhelming to site R&D or process / production staff.
By its very nature, process innovation often means that nobody will have tried it before and this management of uncertainty and risk, can often mean that projects are shelved before they have really even got off the ground.
The first stage of the process is an iterative scoping study, encompassing many levels of decision support, as to the exact nature and scope of the project. Note all stages listed below are client specific and not all are needed within every project.
Design and Specification
Our in-house specialist engineering design function, can assist in the preparation of process design drawings, simulate process flows using appropriate software and assist in the specification of the equipment components of your new product / process
Given the exacting nature of specifying process components, our purchasing specialists are available, to assist or replace your own staff, in securing best value for money in component supply
Our Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical Engineering specialists, are available to deliver the build of innovative new equipment supplied by C-Tech Innovation or to assess and advise on the manufacturing capability of external equipment vendors on behalf of our clients
As one of the UK’s leading new product and process development businesses, we have many years’ experience and an extensive capability, in managing all project stages from R&D, through to pilot, pre-production and full production. This stage can also include advice on Intellectual Property protection as required.
Technology Transfer and Training
The final stage of the process, is to embed the knowledge created within the project, with the client’s staff. This includes the preparation of manuals, technology transfer data and training of client’s staff.
