Workshop: Introduction to Sustainable Design
Advantage through more sustainable products
This stimulating workshop will introduce simple tools and thinking that will help you understand and quantify the eco credentials of products, and identify imaginative and surprising opportunities for improvements - to product design, or even the way you might do business. The free-to-use tools, which include Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprinting, will be deployed in a case study worked through in groups, generating proposals for improvements to a common product found in everyone’s home. This workshop will equip you with lasting skills to apply inside your own organisations.
Who Should Attend
• Influencers of product and service design –executives, managers, engineers and designers across all sectors
• Those looking to understand and use life cycle thinking, LCA and sustainable design tools
