Funding Programmes

Experience in Funding Programmes

Governmental supported research projects are the backbone of our R&D activities. C-Tech Innovation is a major participant in collaborative research work, either centrally funded or in partnership with other organisations. We perform this grant funded research and development at regional, national, European or International level, and have met with much success under a variety of schemes both individually and as a partner. We can help you to further your specific priorities, helping you assemble and write your proposal and then work with you to develop your research.

European Funding Programmes

The European Union provides funding for research through a number of programmes. Currently its main instrument is the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, which has been designed to respond to Europe's employment needs, competitiveness and quality of life.

Since their launch in 1984, the Framework Programmes (FP) have played a lead role in multidisciplinary research and cooperative activities in Europe and beyond. C-Tech Innovation has been involved in Framework Programmes and other European funding programmes for more than 8 years and has participated as a leader or a partner in over 25 European projects. Thus we have built an extensive network of collaborators all over Europe and have acquired significant experience in the management of European funded projects.

UK Funding Programmes

There are a number of UK organisations providing funding to assist the industrial and research communities to work together on R&D projects in strategically important areas of science, engineering and technology. The main funding is provided by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), an executive non-departmental public body to drive innovation in the UK. C-Tech innovation is currently involved in 11 collaborative projects funded by the Technology Strategy Board. We have also delivered successful projects for other UK funding bodies, for example the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and Carbon Trust.

Due to our involvement in three innovation-focussed UK networks (Environmental Sustainability Knowledge Transfer Network, Eco-Innovate, K2i) we are in contact with a large group of innovative companies and research organisations. This helps us to identify the best consortium for a project.
