Technologies to produce nanomaterials at an industrial scale is a major effort in research and development.

Nanomaterial production requires four processing stages: synthesis, separation, purification, and stabilization. Each of the different stages of production has unique technical challenges requiring different tools and understanding of the processes involved.

C-Tech innovation has developed a unique plasma technology for the production of nanoparticles and as a nano-processing technique that can apply nano-structure or nano-coatings to various substrates and surfaces Known as APNEP (Atmospheric Pressure Non-Equilibrium Plasma)

C-Tech Innovation has also developed a process (following collaboration with the University of Bangor) to deposit nano-structured catalysts and photo-catalysts on a variety of substrate materials (e.g. glass, porous ceramics).
